Susan Baker

Susan is a highly experienced professional who has spent her career focussing on engaging people to achieve great results. Susan has been involved with GTP for over ten years as a non-Executive Director. She has recently moved into the GTP consulting team and brings a wealth of strategic thinking, faciltation and communications capability.

Susan started her career in the federal government in community engagement and policy development and then moved into the corporate environment, where she has been in consulting, human resource and leadership roles for the last twenty years. In her most recent role, Susan led the talent and remuneration practice of an ASX50 company, reporting to the Executive Team and Board.

Susan is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Governor’s Leadership Foundation (FGLF 2019). She has an honours degree majoring in Psychology and a Master of Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management, and is currently studying towards a Master of Applied Economics at University of Adelaide.

Susan is passionate about social justice and people’s rights to have sufficient income, secure housing and equitable opportunities to participate in our community. She is an avid learner and enjoys listening to podcasts to stimulate her thinking while she balances the needs of her three young children.
